Foundations of Implementation Research: A Lecture Series for Global Health Impact

Enroll in our free, self-paced online lecture series. This lecture series is designed for researchers, public health practitioners, and stakeholders involved in implementing proven interventions within settings in low- and middle-income countries.

Welcome to our Implementation Research (IR) Lecture Series

Implementation Research (IR) is important for designing strategies or solutions to overcome bottlenecks that prevent proven and innovative public health interventions from reaching the people who need them. This ensures that these interventions are used in a manner that results in the outcomes for which they were intended. Such solutions include overcoming barriers to the adoption of drugs and diagnostic or preventative measures that improve health for people at risk of malaria, tuberculosis, NCDs, or other infectious diseases. IR helps to ensure that health solutions reach the people who need them and are used in ways that generate the intended results.

Insights from Global Experts

Hear from the global experts who helped create our Implementation Research (IR) Lecture Series.

Professor Piyusha Majumdar
IIHMR University
IIHMR University had the opportunity to participate in developing a global curriculum on implementation research's core competencies. The standout feature was its focus on real-world applications in LMICs. The curriculum also provided individual competencies in conducting meaningful implementation research that can drive impactful change.
Dr. Yodi Mahendradhata
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia
TDR has revolutionized research capacity building by co-creating training models with institutions in low- and middle-income countries and identifying the best training partners through a competitive selection process. We are seeing a snowball effect where we, as a training hub in South-East Asia, have enabled other institutions in the region to access and offer TDR’s gold standard research training tools. We are also learning from our counterparts in other regions of the world, where materials are adapted to different contexts and audiences. Together with TDR, we are building a global community of practice in implementation research, which inspires me every day.
